The founder of Curingshot introduces himself…
Today is finally the day! For weeks our team has been working on creating a blog for you. From now on you can look forward to regular blogposts with lots of exciting tips and tricks in the areas of food and fitness, as well as a lot of insider facts about our “little ones”. We can’t wait to use the blog for mutual exchange and getting to know each other. As always, we look forward to your personal feedback and blog post ideas on topics that are important to you.
Since we have revealed relatively little about the origin and history of our Curingshot, you are probably all very curious about how it came to the great ginger shot after all.
That’s why we’re dedicating our first blog post to the story of how Curingshot came to be.
For this we have interviewed the founder of Curingshot to get exciting answers to seven frequently asked and personal questions:
- When and why did you found your startup?
The notary date was January 03, 2017. With Curingshot, I wanted to bring a product to the market that (as is common for functional food) not only tastes good but also brings other benefits.
2. When did you first think about starting your own business — Curingshot?
When I was chewing on a raw ginger root in the morning and didn’t feel like the extremely woody taste anymore! (laughs)
3. Who or what made you aware of ginger in the first place?
In my competitive sports days as a rower, I have always chewed ginger and turmeric as raw roots to stay fit. My uncle, Dr. Helmut Mair, senior physician in a Munich hospital recommended ginger to me back then. I worked with him and other doctors on the recipe to get the maximum functionality and vitamins out of it.
4. What is your role in the company and what are your responsibilities?
Currently, I am mainly responsible for the coordination of the business units, quality and production control and our expansion. The exciting thing is that depending on the phase the company is currently in, you have to look after different areas or focus on different things.
5. What does your typical working day look like?
The nice thing about this is, that there is no such thing as a typical workday. That’s why I love my job so much.
6. What do you do to balance out your workday?
Sports, sports and sports. Whenever time permits, I like to go mountain climbing or sailing. I also do calisthenics on a regular basis.
7. Are there any interesting projects planned for the next few weeks that you would like to tell us about?
We have a lot planned but I think surprises are always better than expectations so I won’t tell you anything yet.
We hope you enjoyed the first blog post and have a great week.
See you next time,
Your Curingshot Team
